EEO-1: Insights

EEO-1 Data: Summary

US companies with 100 or more employees are required to submit a consolidated EEO-1 report to the US Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) annually. The report breaks down respective workforces by gender, race, and ethnicity across 10 job categories, providing a granular, intersectional snapshot that allows for apples-to-apples comparisons across companies and industries.

In 2019, only 13 S&P 100 companies and 25 S&P 500 companies publicly released their full EEO-1 data. As of today, those figures have climbed to 95 S&P 100 companies and 380 S&P 500 companies (9 committed to future disclosure).

DiversIQ tracks company-reported data that aligns with Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) job categories and demographic categories, ranging from full, certified EEO-1 reports to limited, non-intersectional reporting for select job categories from sources including ESG/CSR publications diversity sites and reports.
